The firm was founded in 2010 by Beth Edwards, working out of a home office on a quiet Ottawa street called Sherry Lane. As the practice grew, the office moved to 111 Sherwood Drive — and Beth's commitment to careful, plain-language work moved with it.
On June 30, 2025, ownership of Sherry Lane Associates Inc. passed to Nikolas Forrest. As founder, Beth's standards still shape the firm. The mission has not changed: be the bookkeeping partner small Canadian businesses can rely on for the long haul.

Nikolas is the President of Sherry Lane Associates Inc. He took ownership of the firm on June 30, 2025 and is focused on continuing the trusted, client-first relationships the practice has built since 2010 — while bringing modern tooling, automation, and reporting to small and mid-sized Canadian businesses.

Beth founded Sherry Lane Associates in 2010 on Sherry Lane in Ottawa, Ontario. With over five decades of bookkeeping experience, she shaped the firm's commitment to careful work, plain-language communication, and long-term client relationships. As founder, her standards still define how the firm works today.
Associate
Mei is a Sherry Lane Associate working hands-on with clients across multiple industries. She is QuickBooks Online certified and supports the full bookkeeping cycle, from reconciliation through interim reporting.
Associate
Sierra rounds out the Sherry Lane team as an Associate. She supports document intake, reconciliation, and client communication, helping the practice keep its 24-hour responsiveness to client questions.
